Teething Troubles...

I sent Tim an invitation to post, but there seems to have been a bit of a technical hitch - when that is sorted, I will mail out invites (and instructions!) to the rest of the group.

In the mean time, I came across this article by Martha Leary on being a facilitator - it's primarily about Facilitated Communication, but has more general use as well.

Also of interest is the accessible version of the Paradigm-UK website - it's not perfect, but as a model for making information available to everyone, it's a good start.

Finally, there is an essay called "The politics of Person Centered Planning" by John O'Brien and Connie Lyle O'Brien here - it's a PDF file, though, so you will need Acrobat Reader to access it.

New Look

I've tidied things up a bit, and started adding links to the left hand side. I'll add the others from the handout later, but if there are any other links which it would be useful to have permanently, mail them to me.

Talking of email addresses, you will notice that there aren't any on here; this is intentional, as posting your email address on to a website is the quickest and easiest way of getting hundreds of spam mails pouring into your inbox. So don't be tempted to post your own address...

I really do think we ought to get rid of that advert, though...

post number 2

As you can see, the posts come up with the newest at the top...this can take a little bit of getting used to, but means people can instantly see what is current.

The other thing is the horrible orange above - I can sort this (and the whole look of the site, making it more in line with the corporate image), but to be honest I'm tired, it's late, there is a beer in the fridge and so I can't be bothered sorting it right now...

Hello!

This is intended to be a kind of virtual noticeboard, a place to post links to other websites or to articles, news, thoughts rants...I thought that in part it could act as a virtual copy of Tim's emails which can be accessed from any computer. It's NOT intended as a place for stories and celebrations - that really should be over at the main Aspects website.

It's hosted on Blogspot, hence the nasty advert at the top (it'll cost $15 to get rid of that) - the advantage of it though is that *anyone* with a password can post stuff here. It's incredibly easy.

If people like the idea, I can add stuff like a comments feature for people to add thoughts to other's posts and so on.

If people think there is any value in this, I will mail passwords and posting instructions to everyone in the group. If not, I'll delete it.
